History of creation

Educational-Clinical Center "Astana" was established in 2007 by the Decree of Akim of Astana on October 22, 2007 № 18-961P with 100% state participation. In cooperation with the medical corporation "Partners HealthCare Systems" - the clinical base of Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA), was created the first simulation center in the Republic of Kazakhstan and according to the programs of the American Heart Association (AHA) was made the transfer of simulation training technologies.

In 2013, the Partnership was conveyed to a competitive environment and nowadays is a private organization. Nowadays, as an equal member of the Pan Asia Simulation Society in Healthcare (PASSH), the Society in Europe for Simulation Applied to Medicine (SESAM),  the Group of International Simulation Pediatric (GISP) and the Russian Society for Simulation Education in Medicine (ROSOMED) the center continues to maintain and improve the high level of quality of this type of training, recognized as one of the advanced methods of training for medical workers, the effectiveness of which is confirmed by the inclusion of this method to the mandatory list of training programs for doctors and nurses of the United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden.
